Professor Beach will be the first person to receive the Mid Career Award from the IEEE Magnetics Society at the upcoming 2021 INTERMAG virtual conference. The aim of this award is to recognize scientists and engineers at the mid-stages of their careers for outstanding research and technological contributions. He is being recognized for his pioneering contributions to the understanding of chiral exchange interactions, spin-orbit torques, domain wall, and skyrmion dynamics in magnetic films, heterostructures and nanostructures.
